Planetarium and Observatory

What is it:
The community group POAC are trying to get the Planetarium & Observatory moved from Downer to Mt Stromlo, as the previous owner no longer want to operate it. The planetarium is a star theatre and the observatory has two telescopes which you can use to explore the heavens.

Mt Ainslie Lookout

What is it
Located to the East of Civic, this lookout gives a very ipressive view of most of the city. There is ample parking as well maps to help you locate landmarks around the region.

Telstra Tower Lookout

What is it
Located to the West of Civic, this very prominent tower rises 195m above the sumit of Black Mountain. From the observation level above the restaurant, you get a very ipressive view of the whole city. There is ample parking as well maps to help you locate landmarks around the region. It can be cold and windy in the outdoor section, but there is also lots of room to observer the view from inside.

Questacon by Night

What is it
Questacon, the National Science and Technology Centre, has lots of educational science based activities for kids.
Location
In the parliamentary Triangle between the National Library and the High Court, on King Edward Terrace.

What is it
CSIRO's interactive science education centre

Twilight Forest Adventure

What is it
